Welcome! We’re Kayla + Jared,

Just like you- we have own our love story! We met in college in 2010, where we bonded over our mutual love of art, music and breaking dorm room rules. Over the next decade we would move to Nashville, start a family, get married and grow this beautiful photography business we call MUNGO foto + film. We truly thrive in this space where we’re able to help couples connect with the beauty inside themselves, their relationship and within nature, through fine art- focused wedding and engagement photography.

We’re not JUST photographers- we’re veil fixers, train flippers, bouquet holders, master directors, mini wedding planners as so much more. Consider us your one stop shop for documenting your wedding day for years to come. We’re just like you so we know exactly what you’re looking for- creative wedding photography from enjoyable people!

“Let me tell you a secret about my first true love- Art. From an early age, I found comfort and solace in any crafty thing I could get my hands on. In 2014, I earned my Bachelor’s in Fine Arts with an emphasis in painting. While I still paint from time to time, my medium of choice has become photography. I became a photo editor before I graduated college and my love for this digital medium has flourished since. After editing for many years, and many wonderful clients, Jared and I decided we wanted to be behind the camera and in front of wonderful couples. Each new place explored through our lenses, reminds us how truly grateful we are to live this life together.” -Kayla

“My passion for photography is fueled by two seemingly disparate worlds: the structured beauty of fine art and the improvisational spirit of jazz. Just as a jazz musician takes a melody and explores its infinite possibilities, I use my camera to interpret the world around me. I'm drawn to the unexpected, the quirky, and the moments that whisper rather than shout. I strive to capture not just a likeness, but the essence of my subject, often through unconventional compositions and a playful approach to light and shadow. My goal is to create images that resonate with the soul, that tell a story, and that invite you to see the world in a new light.” -Jared
